End of the Season

Thursday, September 1, is the last day of the season at the DCL Farmers Market. Thank you for your patronage throughout the summer. We hope you join us to stock up on your favorite produce and baked goods one last time!

Saturday Market Discontinued

Due to low turnout, the August 20 and 27 DCL markets will be discontinued. We will still hold the market on Thursdays through September 1. Hope to see you there.

Highlight: Lashell's Baked Goods

Lashell Maust is from Accident, MD. This is her third year selling baked goods at the farmers market in DCL. Her focus is on cookies and sweet breads. Highlighted are her "gobs". Lashell also participates (using many of her own recipies) with other church ladies, at the August 27, Country Fest at the fairgrounds. She also sells at the Autumn Glory Heritage Craft Shows. Highlight: Yummy Crumbs Creations

Gourmet baked goods at their finest! Linda Heine and her daughter create their goodies in Linda's Swallow Falls Rd. home. After retiring four years ago, Linda wanted to turn her passion for baking into a business. They sell biscotti, focaccio, fruit pies in season, upscale dinner rolls and giant cookies. Besides having a table at the DCL market, their products are available during the Autumn Glory festival. Highlight: Fawn Valley Farm

Gary & Maggi Coene returned to Gary's roots, farming, in retirement. They bought their property in Oakland four years ago and have been selling at the farmers markets ever since. They produce vegetables, strawberries, raspberries and flowers including gladiolus. Maggi creates crafts as well such as her wrapped baskets. The Coene's also sell at the Oakland Farmers Market and are members of the Garrett Growers.

Highlight: Stone House Oven

Stone House Oven is run by Lori Schmuck of Accident, MD. This is her first year under the Stone House banner. Lori hopes to extend her business to a full-time operation. She is an original vendor at the DCL market. Besides delicious breads, cinamon rolls, cookies and pies, Lori sells produce and fresh eggs. Contact her at the DCL market for her free-range chickens. Lori is also a vendor at the Springs, PA farmers market.
